My Audio Work

Adobe Audition

All of my work with audio was done using Adobe Audition. My experience with the software started in 2011 as a staff member of WNUR Sports radio, where I would use audition to create highlight packages for Northwestern athletics. I am very comfortable using the software, even for complex processes such as noise reduction, modulation and multi-track storytelling.

Digital Legacy Project Podcast Series

My Master's capstone project allowed me to use my skills in audio production to create podcasts to discuss topics relevant to the goalss/objectives of the Digital Legacy Project.

The Intersection of Journalism and Digital Legacy

In the Digital Legacy Podcast Survey, just 30% of respondents think news coverage plays into their own digital legacy. Tralon Williams spoke with Cindy Swirko of the Gainesville Sun and Clare Roth of WOSU radio to see the journalist's take on the same question. Take a listen to our podcast to see what role journalists play in your digital legacy, what happens when you get acquitted after an arrest and what to do if that quote in the local newspaper is impacting your ability to get a job.

Digital Danger

Abigail* wanted to be a good friend wanted to be a good friend and maintain a digital legacy she could be proud of. Unfortunately, she was not able to do both. Take a listen to here Abigail's story and her advice for creating and maintaining a legacy to be proud of in the final installment of the Capstone Podcast Series.

Living with Digital Legacy

Living in a digital age can become overwhelming at times. Navigating the digital space takes precision, honesty and a willingness to break free of the screens that can dominate our lives if we let them. For the 2nd installment of the Capstone Podcast Series, Tralon Williams talks with Clare Roth, host of All Things Considered in Columbus, Ohio about why she deactivates her Facebook, what happened on (date) and how her father's death impacts the way she interacts with her own digital legacy.
