Good afternoon,
I have pored over this application for a week. A position like this, at a company like this is an opportunity I have been waiting for, but now that the moment is here, I am nervous. I felt similar nerves before stepping onto a football field, tying my shoes in a bowling alley, standing outside a door to deliver a well-practiced speech, or thoroughly researched thesis. These nerves are common and have helped me thrive in my previous experiences. As this letter will detail, those experiences ae what make me believe I would be an excellent choice for the UX Researcher at FanDuel Group.
The job description asks for someone who will learn while telling a story with impeccable attention to detail. All with the goal of working within a team to shape the way FanDuel researches and ultimately operates. Taking on a role such as this would be excellent for me, because through tasks such as speech writing, disaster outreach, staffing, and marketing, I have developed the skills necessary to tap into the heart of an audience. Understanding their wants, desires, needs, and more has helped me in staffing and as a teacher. And putting together a strong game plan with long term goals made me an excellent coach and mentor.
I know this letter comes on strong, but this is the type of position I have dreamed of. Ever since I knew I would not play football past high school, I knew I wanted to stay in sports. And the best way to stay in sports at this stage of my life, is in a role where my love of sports can coincide with my desire to constantly learn, use numbers to my advantage, and communicate with people around the world.
I look forward to your hiring process. I hope to be in touch with you soon and will be following up via email, tralonjwilliams@gmail.com, or phone, 616-828-6544. Thank you for taking to time to view my application and have a wonderful rest of your day.
Best,
Tralon Williams
